The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for maintaining / increasing sales volume with existing and new accounts for UR’s portfolio of collaborative robots and services. Located in the in Turkey, the Business Development Manager will be accountable for executing assigned sales goals and sales-marketing plans within company strategies. The BDM will work proactively with appropriate division management and related support departments to ensure on time customer service needs are met or exceeded.  
 

You will be based near Istanbul, Turkey and will report to Kandan Özgür Gök, Country Manager - Turkey & MEA, Southern Europe & UK.

To give you an overview of how this affects your role and responsibilities you can look forward to:

  • Be responsible for sales goals/quotas in defined clear strategy on cobot applications like Machine Tending and Welding
  • Hunt for new sales opportunities and once qualified/validated introduce them to the local UR distributor and system integrators
  • Drive KPIs and action plans to achieve the annual target. Develop counter measures to get back to budget if behind.
  • Manage opportunity funnel, forecasting and action plans
  • Canvas, initiate, qualify sales leads and follow through to ensure a solid sales funnel with distributors and system integrator,
  • Participate in joint visits with distributor’s salespeople to end-users and integrators
  • Represent company at tradeshows and other professional marketing/sales activities and make cobot demo activites
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace
  • Must be capable of overnight travel up to 50% of time; or as required.

To be successful in this position we imagine you will come with:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (mechatronics or mechanical preferred) or related subject
  • 3 -10 years of experience in technical sales or sales
  • Must have proven track record of exceeding sales quota
  • Experience working with distribution and automation technologies
  • Previous experience in industrial automation, solution/project sales involving technical products
  • Strong sense of understanding of the value proposition to end-users
  • Business acumen that can be applied at different levels of decision makers from management to technical support
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written in Turkish and English.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
