<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Due to rapid growth we are looking for a a high-performing individual to provide hands-on leadership to the Electrical Engineering team and to be a key individual in the area of product development at AutoGuide Mobile Robots. With a new and expanding portfolio of mobile robots, <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">this role is very tactical at this time to help launch our new platforms and has tremendous career upside.

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">AutoGuide Mobile Robots designs, manufactures and installs the most technically advanced mobile robots with one goal in mind: surpassing customers’ expectations. For more than two decades, AutoGuide has provided maximum value to businesses in manufacturing, warehousing and distribution operations across multiple industries. Working out of the AutoGuide Mobile Robots headquarters in Chelmsford MA, this position involves providing maximum value to businesses in manufacturing, warehousing and distribution operations across multiple industries.

Responsibilities
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">Lead a team of Electrical Engineers to develop designs of circuits for motion control, sensing, computing, power distribution, and cabling for large mobile robots.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">Be accountable for design, documentation, development, test and debugging of all electronics and firmware.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">Develop the next generation electrical architecture for AutoGuide’s suite of robots.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">Participate in brainstorming and design reviews. Maintains standards of excellence in all product development processes.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">Participate in program reviews to ensure the completion of projects on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Mentor less-experienced employees, remove roadblocks, drive change, build consensus and represent the team.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">When required manage large product development projects. Prepare project plans that define phases, tasks, durations, resource assignments, and costs. Proactively communicates assignments to responsible individuals, ensures that tasks are completed within the planned time, and reports on project status.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">Demonstrated ability to successfully bring products from concept to market.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">Ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">Ability to recruit and retain high-caliber staff. Must be a developer of people through professional and personal mentoring.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">Deep understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals related to digital and analog circuit and board design.
  • General understanding of PCBA design.
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">Industrial/mobile robotics, automated material handling or vehicle design experience a plus.
  • Design of safety systems and regulatory compliance experience a plus.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills required.  Able to lead multidisciplinary teams, create and assign tasks, supervise and mentor junior level engineers, plan and manage projects including tasks an budgets.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">Ability to travel when needed, ~10%
Education

<span style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">BSEE with 8+ years of work experience with demonstrated history of advancing designs from initial concept through production.
