Organization & Role
AutoGuide Mobile Robots is looking for a Network Support Engineer for the Field and Inhouse and IT & Software support to help trouble shoot wireless networks and support the network infrastructure of our mobile robots.
Responsibilities
• Address customer issues by providing engineering support for our existing fleet of mobile robots and help review for compliance pre-sales Customer site Wi-Fi and Network design
• Validate the infrastructure requirements for deployment of AutoGuide systems at customer
sites
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis and develop corrective measures and solutions
• Build, grow and lead the knowledge sharing and procedure to enable of Support personnel to learn and grow their Network trouble shooting tool kit.
• Independently perform experiments, including development of test methods, measurement,
and analysis
• Generate and maintain supporting documentation, including drawings, operation and
maintenance procedures, test reports, and design reports
Basic Qualifications & Skills
- Proven ability of wireless network infrastructure
- Experience with:
- MS SQL Database
- 802.11 b/g/n/ac wireless networks
- 5G networks and other emerging networking technologies
- TCP/IP routed networks
- Basic IPv4 sub-netting
- Basic network switching experience
- SNMP, NTP, DHCP, DNS, NAT/PAT
- Windows 10, Server 2016, 2019, Debian 8+ OS
- Basic virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) understanding
- Ability to quickly learn and understand a customer’s network infrastructure/design to assist in troubleshooting wired/wireless issues
- Experience with formal documentation – schematics, wiring diagrams, test plans and reports, design reports
- Excellent customer interfacing skills
- Autonomous mobile robot experience, or related field
- Customer Service fundamentals – the ability to effectively deal with customer complaints.
- Strong computer skills and experience with PC based systems and information technologies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be available and willing to travel in North America as needed and be available for specific emergency on-call work. Depending upon business needs travel can vary greatly to as high as 40% of the time.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, qualified to obtain a credit card for expenses and able to obtain a valid passport for the term of employment.
Education
- BSIT, BSEE, or BSCS with a minimum of 3-5 years of technical experience, or MSIT, MSEE, MSCS with a
- minimum of 3 years of technical experience
