Sr. Network Engineer (Mobile Robots)

Organization & Role

AutoGuide Mobile Robots (a Teradyne subsidiary) designs, manufactures and installs the most technically advanced AMRs with one goal in mind: surpassing customers’ expectations. Due to rapid growth AutoGuide is seeking a proactive, motivated, and hands on individual to join our Software Engineering team. With an expanding portfolio of mobile robots, this position will be instrumental in the launch of our new platforms and has tremendous career opportunities.

AutoGuide Mobile Robots is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to size, setup, and support Network infrastructure of our mobile robots.

Responsibilities

  • Address customer issues by supporting improvements, and engineering support for our existing fleet of mobile robots
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis and develop corrective measures and solutions
  • They will support the development from architecture, through design, testing, and fielding of the next generation of AutoGuide Mobile Robots. 
  • Demonstrates leadership - as our team grows, they will be a lead for the Network team. 
  • Independently perform experiments, including development of test methods, measurement, and analysis.
  • Generate and maintain supporting documentation, including drawings, operation and maintenance procedures, test reports, and design reports

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to overcome obstacles to get the job done. Can do attitude!
  • Excellent customer interfacing skills.
  • Experience with:
    • MS SQL Database
    • 802.11 b/g/n/ac wireless networks
    • TCP/IP routed networks
    • Basic IPv4 subnetting
    • Basic network switching experience
    • SNMP, NTP, DHCP, DNS, NAT/PAT
    • Windows 10, Server 2016, 2019, Debian 8+ OS
    • Basic virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) understanding
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand a customer’s network infrastructure/design to assist in troubleshooting wired/wireless issues
  • Experience with formal documentation – schematics, wiring diagrams, test plans and reports, design reports.
  • Must be able to work onsite in North Reading, MA.

Education

 BSIT, BSEE, or BSCS with a minimum of 8+ years of technical experience
