Organization & Role

AutoGuide Mobile Robots (a Teradyne subsidiary) designs, manufactures and installs the most technically advanced autonomous mobile robots (Robotic Forklifts and Tuggers) with one goal in mind: surpassing customers’ expectations. Due to rapid growth AutoGuide is seeking a proactive, motivated, and hands on individual to join our Systems Engineering team.

 

With an expanding portfolio of mobile robots, this position will be instrumental in the launch of our new platforms and has tremendous career opportunities.

AutoGuide Mobile Robots is looking to hire a Systems Test Engineer to work onsite in North Reading, MA. You will take a proactive approach to improve our vehicle quality, and reliability.

 

 

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Create automation test benches with direction from engineering team to exercise appropriate subsystems.
  • Assist with testing and qualification of equipment
  • Recognize anomalous behavior in our vehicles and document in ticketing system for engineering group.
  • Coordinate with teams to prioritize and task items discovered during testing.
  • Manage engineering lab equipment and tools
  • Design test setups, including (as necessary) integrating sensors for data collection, designing fixtures and actuators for successful realization of reliability and verification tests.
  • Document test reports from analyzed data with clear and actionable conclusions. 

 

5+ years of experience in the following

  • Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, robotics, and industrial automation.
  • BS, degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Excellent at developing tests to repeat and troubleshoot off nominal conditions.
  • A demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team of hardware, electrical and software engineers.
  • Demonstrable ability to debug a system observable symptom down to the root cause.
  • Data analysis of test results including trends and charts
