Summary


LitePoint is looking for persons with a desire to enable the latest wireless communication technologies such as WiFi and Bluetooth.  LitePoint is a leading validation company working with some the biggest names in consumer electronics to ensure wireless communications work their best and live up to consumer’s expectations.  We are based in the heart of Silicon Valley (San Jose, CA) where the leading edge of new wireless technologies are constantly being developed, however, this position will be located in Arlington Heights, ILL.
As an application engineer at LitePoint you would be an integral link between the engineering development team developing new test equipment and our customers working to get their products fully validated and into manufacturing.  The role provides for a rich technical experience with skillsets in both software development (C/C++ and Python) and Radio Frequency (RF) design knowledge along with customer interfacing skills.  If you enjoy a dynamic role with constantly evolving challenges, this is the perfect fit.


Responsibilities:


Manage technical issues, solve SW application problems, and support customer design activities facilitating the use of LitePoint test equipment.

Be alert to competitive products and product positioning.

Analyze technical requirements and share this knowledge with members of the technical development team.

Develop strong customer relationships at a technical level to gain further insight of the direction and needs of the customer. 


Basic Qualifications & Skills;
 Qualified Applicants will have: 
•    BS/MSEE with 0-3 years of experience
•    Experience developing and using automated RF/Wireless test systems
•    Applicants should enjoy working with people in FAE/AE technical support role
•    Experience working with automated test programs and scripts in C/ C++ and Python.  Knowledge of the RF PHY requirements for the wireless communications standards such as:
o    802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax WLAN
o    802.15 Bluetooth 2.x, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x
o    NFC, GPS, ZigBee
o    Cellular 2G/3G/4G/5G
•    Familiar with RF test equipment such Vector Signal Analyzers (VSA), Spectrum Analyzers, and General RF measurements
•    Strong troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving skills
•    Effective written, verbal and presentation skills
•    Willingness to travel to local and remote (domestic and international) customer sites
