Opportunity Overview


LitePoint is a leading provider of wireless test solutions, we deliver cutting-edge products to the market faster. Located in San Jose, California, our HW design team thrives on innovation. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Hardware Engineer- Optics Photonics to act as a technical leader working on the design and the benchmark of new products.

This position offers hands-on experience, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and opportunities to contribute to future product innovations.

 

 

Roles & Responsibility:

 

  • System architecture: Participate in discussions about product definition, technology, and architecture.
  • Research: Explore new technologies and applications.
  • Equipment: Identify the required equipment required for testing, benchmark, and development.
  • Specifications: Benchmark market and create competitive specifications.
  • Design: Board level design of opto- interface and high-speed digital data that utilizes advanced FPGA, Processors, and high-speed interconnect technologies.
  • Test: Develop test plans and test scripts to bring up prototypes and models.
  • Hands-on: Bring up prototypes, debug and improve performance to meet specifications.
  • Manufacturing support: Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and testing.

Minimum Job Requirements:

 

 

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in physics, electrical engineering, or related fields.
  • 3 years of experience in:
    • Industrial experience with opto-electronic and high-speed data systems.
    • Fundamental understanding of integrated photonics.
    • Fundamental understanding of high-speed data design.
    • High-speed simulation and analysis CAD tools.
    • Working with integrated photocopies or systems.
    • Working with test and measurement equipment in the relevant field.

Compensation:

 


The base salary range for this role is $157 700 - $252 300. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

 

 

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
