You’ll dive deep into your field of expertise, and really make it work

We are looking for an experienced and talented Software Engineer to join our .NET platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, platform engineering, CI/CD, and a curiosity for robotics. You will work on platform and tools for our developers, to ensure robust and scalable solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Continues development of our Application Platform and tooling in .NET.
  • Encourage and enable quality and security through our platform.
  • Design sessions, support and best practices for .NET developers.
  • Provide tools for logging, gRPC, data layer, scaffolding, repository management, and micro-services in .NET.
  • Maintain a running platform to support the release train cadence in collaboration with DevOps.
  • Engage and contribute to fleet management teams and projects.

 

You’ve got what it takes to fit in at the frontier of robotics

At MiR, we come in all shapes and sizes, and we cheer each other on. However, we do expect that you’ll bring the following:

 

  • Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Proven track record of building production critical solutions.
  • Strong platform engineering mindset, with a focus on API development.
  • T-shaped engineer; you have a deep technical expertise but knows how to work across teams and understand problems from a holistic perspective.
  • Strong communicator: you can simplify a complex problem on a whiteboard and get fellowship.
  • Quality over quantity; you can build complex system by starting simple and meets requirements by automated tests.
  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Skills:

  • Fluent in .NET and EF Core using MS SQL.
  • Familiarity with gRPC.
  • Proficiency in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience with Docker and Podman containers.
  • Strong knowledge of Git for version control.
  • Strong in building CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
  • Experience in deploying on-premises solutions at customers.
  • Experience in robotic operating systems (ROS) and Python is a plus.

Above all, you have a proven track record of building and releasing large scale software, knowing the hard work of making releases on time.

You will move into our new headquarters in Odense. Build in 2024 as the central innovation hub for MiR and Universal Robots hosting R&D, showrooms, and running robots. A thrilling space with the best facilities, modern offices, cuisine with a variety of food and our own barista on site.
