Key role with high level of responsibility
We are looking for a replacement in our Supplier Quality team to replace the former SQE that has been promoted as Quality Manager. We are looking for a new colleague who is ready to assume the responsibilities of supplier quality, secure supplies, and parts for the assembly line with compliance with engineering and manufacturing specifications as well as company quality standards.
To ensure that the quality from our suppliers meets MIR internal targets and control measures we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) within the category cable harness, wires, and connectors. In this role you will report to our Quality Manager and work with highly skilled colleagues facilitating the continuously improvement of supplier’s performance and quality as well as handle defects and production shutdowns.
You will be part of a strong quality department and will work closely together with our R&D and procurement. You task will be to develop, maintain or deactivate suppliers in the supply chain. You will be main responsible on analyzing non-conformity cases, follow up on SCARs and 8D in the supply chain data base, and review corrective and preventive actions.

Your daily tasks will include:
- Updating supplier metrics and selections
- Follow up and review APQP and PPAP activity at supplier
- External audit and follow up on non-conformity in audit report
- Update supplier data on audit result and action required
- Review specification and drawings internal
- Reviewing supplier MSA and SPC measurement reports
- Create and follow up on SCAR (supplier corrective action report)
- Review suppliers’ action on PDCA or 8D corrective and preventive actions to non-conformity
- Support in cross functional teams to reduce risk in processes at supplier
- Input to quality handbook, Design for manufacturing, DFMEA and quality policy to secure lesson learned.
- Participate in cross functional team for PFMEA internal
- Follow up on suppliers outstanding for warranty claims
- Review and give input to supplier contracts.
To be successful in this role, you have a professional foundation
You have a degree as an electronics engineer, with an electronic background with cable harness, wire and connectors combined with professional experience within quality and external auditing. Alternatively, you have a degree as production engineer with professional experience within production.
Experience with problem solving, manufacturing, IPC-620, FMEA, PPAP and APQP will be an advantage.
