We are looking for a Senior Robot Hardware Validation Engineer, who will assist us in developing and identifying Hardware R&D tests for products. You will be working from our main office in Odense and be part of a dedicated HW validation team.

 

Role & purpose of the position  

The main components of this role are:

  • To act as Robot Test Engineer for the HW R&D Validation Team
  • To design compliance and specification tasks within the HW R&D Validation Team
  • Development, specification, and implementation of data collection in a production/test environment, including introducing a test management tool
  • To ensure validation and quality of new and existing products
  • To provide design for test input for product development and product training to internal stakeholders (i.e., design team members and product managers)

 

Duties & responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Identify, Design, and develop Hardware R&D tests for products. 
  • Create the Test case backlog as defined in cooperation with the project lead.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a common and effective approach to documentation structure and content, issue logging, and developing and capturing internal processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes within the Team
  • Support issues and maintain entries in the test list so that product issues are actively managed and Tested as they are resolved, and knowledge on how problems are resolved is captured and fed back to R&D where appropriate.
  • Participation in a cross-functional project team to develop new and maintain existing products.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and directions when working.
  • Additional duties may be assigned from time to time.

 

You’ve got what it takes to fit in at the frontier of robotics

  • A relevant BSc or MSc Degree (Mechanics, Robotics, Electronics) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum seven years of practical work experience with Robotics and test of related products and other related technologies
  • Working knowledge of Testing robotics products and hardware
  • Ability to use test HW equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, current probes, and calipers to execute tests
  • Previous Test facilitation experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels and functions
  • English is a prerequisite; additional languages are highly desirable
