Opportunity Overview

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will contribute to develop and maintain the full software stack supporting our hardware and systems, from PXIe modules to stand-alone signal integrity test instruments. Working closely with hardware, automation and test engineers, you will contribute to design, implement and optimise software that ensures performance, reliability and a seamless user experience across our product range.

 

  • Implement, test, debug, and document software for products, including PXIe modules and stand-alone signal integrity instruments.
  • Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and maintain software solutions.
  • Apply and advocate software engineering best practices, including participating in code reviews, implementing unit and automated testing, using version control, and secure coding standards.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code; assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software defects.
  • Support continuous improvement of processes, tools, and workflows, and actively share knowledge across the team.

  • Bachelor's degree (or currently working towards completion) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Exposure to software development through academic projects, internships, personal projects, or entry-level industry experience.
  • Basic programming skills in one or more languages such as C#, C++, Python, C, or .NET technologies.
  • Understanding of fundamental software engineering concepts, including object-oriented programming, testing, and debugging.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and development practices.
  • Willingness to receive feedback, follow guidance from senior team members, and continuously develop technical skills.
