Opportunity Overview
The Senior Hardware Engineer is responsible for the design, development, verification, integration, and release of electronic hardware used in high-performance test and measurement instrumentation. The role contributes across analogue, digital, embedded, RF, microwave, and high-speed signal acquisition subsystems, from architecture definition through validation and production release.
This position combines technical leadership, hands-on design, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring of junior engineers to deliver robust, manufacturable products that meet customer and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Design and Development
- Design and develop analogue, digital, embedded, RF, microwave, and high-speed electronic hardware and PCB assemblies.
- In collaboration with peers define system and hardware architectures, detailed designs, verification plans, and validation criteria.
- Perform schematic capture, PCB layout oversight, BOM creation, bring-up, debugging, functional testing, and design validation.
- Contribute to the design and optimization of broadband RF front-end modules, amplifiers, attenuators, filters, sampler circuits, and related signal-chain blocks.
- Develop prototypes and evaluate new technologies and product concepts.
Simulation, Analysis, and Characterization
- Perform signal integrity, RF, and high-frequency circuit analysis using appropriate simulation tools.
- Correlate simulation results with laboratory and system-level measurements.
- Execute characterization and validation activities using oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum analysers, signal generators, LCR meters, and related test equipment.
- Apply established verification, de-embedding, calibration, and measurement practices.
All About You
We seek engineers who combine strong technical fundamentals with ownership, curiosity, and a commitment to customer success. The successful candidate will be able to progress defined engineering work with high level of autonomy, communicate risks early, and collaborate effectively across disciplines.
