Opportunity Overview
The Validation Engineer supports New Product Introduction (NPI) programs by executing product validation and verification activities in accordance with established company procedures and engineering standards. The role ensures that new products meet defined functional, performance, reliability, and release requirements prior to transition into production. This position operates independently on routine validation tasks and contributes to validation analysis and reporting under the guidance of senior engineers.
The role combines electrical engineering fundamentals, measurement technology and automated test development.
You will design, implement, and optimize automated test solutions that ensure product robustness, accuracy, and compliance. This includes working with high-voltage and high-power systems, integrating instrumentation, and developing software-based test frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test systems for design validation and production (ATE)
- Plan and execute electrical and optical tests for products like optical power meters, laser sources, Optical and electrical sampling oscilloscopes
- Develop test automation software using Python, LabVIEW
- Integrate and control electronic instrumentation via SCPI or similar communication interfaces
- Define test strategies, measurement setups, and validation procedures for electronic subsystems
- Analyze measurement results and identify root causes of performance deviations
- Collaborate closely with R&D, hardware design, and manufacturing teams to improve product quality
- Create clear technical documentation including test specifications, reports, and validation protocols
- Support continuous improvement of measurement accuracy, reliability, and efficiency
