Opportunity Overview 

Teradyne’s Supply Base Management Engineering team is seeking a Supply Line Engineer to support complex electro-mechanical assemblies used in advanced test systems. You will help ensure custom assemblies meet technical, quality, cost, schedule, and manufacturability requirements by connecting product intent with capable supplier processes, inspection methods, functional testing, and production controls from new product introduction through the full product lifecycle

• Partner early with design engineering to influence architecture, material selection, manufacturing methods, critical specifications, and supplier selection. 

• Translate drawings, bills of materials, assembly documentation, and functional requirements into clear supplier deliverables, qualification plans, inspection methods, test expectations, process controls, and acceptance criteria. 

• Assess and qualify suppliers through design-for-manufacturability reviews, supplier assessments, process capability studies, measurement system analysis, pilot builds, audits, first article reviews, and production-readiness evaluations. 

• Develop suppliers for electro-mechanical assemblies that may include mechanical components, electrical interfaces, harnesses, cables, connectors, sensors, actuators, fixtures, tooling, and related subassemblies. 

• Collaborate across design, manufacturing engineering, operations, supplier quality, commodity management, and supplier teams to identify risk, resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and improve yield, reliability, capacity, and process maturity. 

• Support lifecycle readiness through approved vendor alignment, supplier change control, product change and end-of-life reviews, alternate sourcing, and continuity-of-supply planning.
