Purpose of Position / Reporting Structure
The Hardware Engineer – Signal Delivery, Intern/Co-op position in Agoura Hills is intended to work within a group of Electrical and Electro-Mechanical Engineers as part of the Advanced Signal Delivery Group. This is a position for an individual who will participate and be a part of an innovative and collaborative team developing custom Electronic hardware and Software solutions consisting of PCB's, Complex Cable Assemblies and test fixtures that confirm the performance and durability of our products.. This group is part of the Semiconductor Test Division that manufactures Automatic Test Equipment for the Semiconductor Industry.
The internship duration would be January - March, with possibility to extend. The internship is preferably full-time.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of a Hardware Engineer – Signal Delivery include:
- Work under the supervision and/or collaboration with Senior-Engineers to Engineering Technicians
- Setup hardware for test of Signal Delivery such as: Interconnects, Cable Assemblies, PCB's
- Refine, Create, and Improve GUl's on test fixtures using Python, NI Labview or LabWindows
- Execute hands-on measurements using Power Supplies, Fluke Meters, Oscilloscope, High-speed instruments
Minimum Qualification & Requirements
- Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (must be currently enrolled in a Degree Program)
- Understanding of: Basics of Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Familiarity with programming languages
- Good organizational and presentation skills
- Internship session: 3 months to 6 months
Preferred Qualifications & Requirements
- Pursuing MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (must be currently enrolled in a
- Degree Program)
- Background in Transmission Line theory, Electromagnetics, Signal Integrity
- Knowledge of 3D SI tools such as CST Studio Suite, HFSS, and Cadence tools
- Hands-on equipment: VNA, TDR's, Oscilloscopes
