Opportunity Overview
Teradyne is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Engineering group in Agoura Hills, CA. This role supports the development of next‑generation semiconductor test platforms, working closely with cross‑functional teams to translate customer and system requirements into robust mechanical designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical solutions for advanced, platform‑level semiconductor test systems
- Translate product and system requirements into clear mechanical designs, tradeoffs, and specifications
- Collaborate with systems, product marketing, manufacturing, and supply‑base partners to deliver scalable, manufacturable solutions
- Support design reviews, change management, and NPI activities across the product lifecycle
- Contribute to reliability, thermal performance, precision alignment, and overall system robustness
All About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5–8 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 3–6 years of experience
- Strong proficiency with SOLIDWORKS, FEA tools (SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS), and PDM systems
- Solid understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design best practices
- Experience working on cross‑functional engineering teams supporting complex electromechanical systems
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and documentation skills
We are only considering candidates local to North Reading, MA and are unable to provide relocation for this position.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $176,000. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
