Opportunity Overview

The NPI Buyer III is a fully qualified, experienced professional responsible for managing procurement activities that support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. This role partners closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Commodity Management, Planning, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to ensure material readiness, cost competitiveness, and successful product launches.

This position requires complete knowledge and understanding of purchasing principles, supply chain practices, and NPI processes. The NPI Buyer III independently manages diverse procurement challenges, evaluates supplier capabilities, resolves material issues, and supports business objectives through effective sourcing and supplier engagement. The role operates with minimal supervision and exercises sound judgment in selecting the appropriate course of action for complex situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities for NPI projects from development through product launch.
• Coordinate supplier engagement, quotations, lead times, and material readiness activities.
• Partner with Engineering and cross-functional teams to identify and implement supply chain solutions for new products.
• Analyze material requirements and execute purchase orders to support project schedules.
• Manage component transitions, engineering changes, and supplier readiness activities.
• Resolve supply, quality, delivery, and cost issues impacting program milestones.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions when required.
• Support cost reduction, risk mitigation, and business continuity initiatives.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data, documentation, and system transactions.
• Provide procurement expertise and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• English Proficiency
• 5+ years of experience in:
  • • • Purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or NPI procurement roles.
      • Working with suppliers in a manufacturing environment.
      • Supporting new product introductions and engineering change management.
      • ERP/MRP systems
      • Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electronics, semiconductors, medical devices, or high-technology manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of supplier management, commodity strategies, and global supply chain operations.
• APICS, CPM, CPSM, or similar professional certification.
