Opportunity Overview

Within the Supply Base Management (SBM) / Supply Line Engineering (SLE) organization, the Components Technician serves as a critical execution and data‑integrity role, enabling Supply Line Engineers to focus on higher‑complexity engineering, supplier strategy, and risk mitigation activities. This role provides day‑to‑day transactional and technical support across the component lifecycle, ensuring accurate component data, timely processing of changes, and disciplined execution of standard SBM processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Gather, review, validate and maintain technical specifications, datasheets, application notes, and compliance documentation for standard electronic and electromechanical components
  • Assist Supply Line Engineers in supporting global design teams during component selection for new designs, component standardization and reuse initiatives.
  • Support RoHS and Environmental Compliance activities by collecting, reviewing, and maintaining compliance documentation.
  • Assist in obsolescence management activities and risk assessments by helping identify risk components.
  • Cross Functional Coordination acting as a primary execution interface between Supply line engineering and internal teams for component‑related follow‑ups.

Minimum job requirements:

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field

OR Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering advanced student.

  • English Proficient
  • 5 years of experience in the following:
      • Hands-on experience working with electronic and electromechanical components
      • Ability to read, understand, and interpret: Electrical and mechanical drawings, Component datasheets and specifications and Engineering change documentation
      • Component lifecycles, availability, and obsolescence concepts
      • ERP and PLM systems
      • Microsoft Office package
      • Working with structured data, templates, and standardized processes.
