OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
The Electronics Supply Line Engineer (SLE) is a key technical contributor within the Supply Base Management (SBM) Engineering organization. In this role, you perform technical due diligence on electronic components and suppliers to ensure alignment to design requirements, manufacturability, quality, cost, and long-term supply continuity across Teradyne products and platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead technical due diligence for electronic component selection, qualification, and lifecycle management.
- Partner with global design teams to enable component selection for new designs and platform reuse/standardization.
- Provide technical guidance to contract manufacturers on approved parts, suppliers, and qualified alternates.
- Drive obsolescence/PCN impact analysis, risk mitigation, and continuity-of-supply plans.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality, cost, manufacturability, and long-term supply resilience.
- Maintain accurate component attributes and sourcing data in Teradyne PLM systems.

- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 4+ years in supply line engineering, component engineering, supplier engineering, or a related role within the electronics industry.
- Sourcing/supporting electronic components; component qualification and lifecycle management; obsolescence and PCN change management.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and datasheets; experience working with PLM systems; fluent English (C1 or higher).
- Supplier quality management experience; knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing (preferred).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; self-motivated and organized; tenacious and persistent.
