Opportunity Overview

The New Product Introduction (NPI) team at Teradyne is seeking a motivated and technically curious student to support our Test Process Development (TPDE) Group. This opportunity is designed for students interested in Artificial Intelligence, automation, and applied software development, who want to work on real engineering problems in a production‑oriented environment.

As an intern, you will contribute to the development of AI‑based and software‑driven solutions used in the test process of Teradyne’s semiconductor test systems and instruments. You will work closely with Process Development Engineers to understand test requirements, existing workflows, and validation needs, and translate them into scalable and automated solutions.

This position provides hands‑on exposure to how software, AI, and data‑driven approaches are applied in an industrial engineering context

Responsibilities

• Develop an AI‑based solution capable of generating test procedures, based on defined test process requirements, that are executed using Teradyne‑approved test applications and tools.
• Support automation initiatives within the Test Process Development group, including scripting and tool development.
• Collaborate with Process Development Engineers to understand existing test flows, requirements, and validation needs.
• Support execution of design validation activities to verify and evaluate developed solutions

Minimum requirements:

• Must be pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
• Advanced in the study plan and required to be enrolled in a professional practice as a requirement for graduation.
• English B1 level.
• 6 months of experience:

• • • AI, machine learning, or model‑based solutions.
    • Python for scripting, automation, or data processing,
    • Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into software solutions.
