Accounting Systems Analyst Full Job Description

We are looking for an Accounting Systems Analyst to join our Accounting Systems group (“ASG”) within the Finance team in Cebu/Costa Rica. This position will report to the ASG manager and support all of the Teradyne Finance organization globally.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Costa Rica office.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Month end close: Responsible for monthly subsystem closes and system maintenance (calendars, chart of account updates, etc.).
  • Business Process Improvement –
    • work with the Finance community on enhancement requests, including understanding and documenting requirements, and testing and validation changes.
    • Identify and gather improvement requirements stemming from business problems or transformation initiatives.
    • Support the process of documenting existing and new processes.
  • Collaborate with the IT group on financial system support and development work to establish effective structures supporting end-users.
  • Provide escalated support for business process issues which will include:
    • Certain responsibilities for provisioning access to various GL/ subsystems and reports
    • maintaining the finance distribution list
    • Provide training on an as needed basis for new users.
  • Implement/ upgrade Finance systems as necessary.
  • Work with Corporate and Division Finance Teams on the integration of newly acquired companies into various financial systems and software.
  • Develop and maintain Oracle Financial System Generator (FSG) reports and Monarch model support.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in corporate accounting/ business systems  
  • Experience in process documentation.
  • Experience working with multiple business stakeholders including internal and external audit stakeholders.
  • Should be highly independent and willing to work flexible hours when required, especially during the quarter end close period as role is supporting a global team.
  • Must have good analytical skills and be proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, office)
  • Finance and accounting knowledge (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Oracle 11i applications, OneStream or other ERP systems (preferred)
  • Experience with new systems implementations (preferred)
  • Strong written and spoken English is required.
