Opportunity Overview
The Laboratory Calibration & Repair Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and serviceability of test and measurement equipment. This role supports operational readiness, compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 calibration standards, and continuous improvement across calibration and repair workflows.

 

  • Calibration & Repair Execution: Perform calibration, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, functional testing, and post-repair verification in accordance with approved procedures and turnaround time requirements.
  • Documentation & Traceability: Maintain accurate service, repair, and calibration records, and keep the equipment database updated.
  • Non-Conformance & Escalation: Segregate non-conforming equipment and escalate complex technical issues to the Calibration Engineer.
  • Continuous Improvement & Collaboration: Provide feedback, support repair and process improvements, and collaborate with engineering and laboratory teams.
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow ESD controls, laboratory procedures, and deviation prevention practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Metrology, or a related technical field. OR currently pursuing an engineering degree.
  • Intermediate English Level
  • 3 years of experience in:
      • Performing calibration, troubleshooting, repair, or maintenance of electronic test and measurement equipment.
      • Interpreting technical procedures, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
      • ESD controls and laboratory safety practices.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration laboratory.
  • Experience using calibration management systems or equipment databases.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of quality systems and non-conformance management practices.
