DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITES /ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Linux Administrator L2 position is responsible for planning, installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, monitoring and support of Unix servers globally. Ensure optimum Unix Server operation by planning hardware, Software, memory, storage, Network and other upgrades. Install, configure and support applications. Measure performance and perform tuning. Review, enhance and update documentation, run books, design diagrams, Disaster Recovery procedures etc. Interface with Engineering groups to create, install, configure and enhance Unix Operating System to support design tools and trouble shoot complicated performance issues. Create and maintain OS images for corporate and Engineering Unix Servers.
EDUCATION/TRAINING SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor of Science in Computers or equivalent.
- Over 2 years of experience in Red Hat Server
- Administration in a large global distributed environment.
- Certificates and formal training in Red Hat, VMWare, AWS/Azure Cloud, HP-UX and Solaris is a Plus
- Working experience in the following technologies is desirable: Red Hat, VMWare, AWS/Azure
- Cloud administration, HPUX, Solaris, Route 53, DNS, SNMP, SSL/TLS, LDAP, SMTP, Apache,
- Samba, Sympa, NFS, Shell Scripting, Perl Scripting, Automation, Dell/HP/Oracle Servers H/W
- Management, Account Management, CyberArk, RSA, Red Hat Clustering, SFTP, SAN/NAS
- Storage, Remote Console Management, Monitoring tools, Patch Management, Server
- Imaging, Network Troubleshooting. Understanding of security best practices (such as CIS, SELinux, Firewalls, PAM).
- Strong knowledge and ability to troubleshoot hardware, access, network and performance issues, root cause analysis, in a complex global distributed hardware/software environment
- Ability and willingness to work after-hours on occasion (nights, evenings, weekends, on-call rotation, etc.)
