Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Costa Rica Mechanical Engineering group and contribute to the development of next generation Semiconductor Test Equipment.

This role is responsible for designing and delivering innovative, reliable, and scalable solutions to complex engineering challenges. The engineer will collaborate with Product Marketing, Systems Engineering, and cross functional development teams to translate customer needs into robust design solutions for both New Product Introduction (NPI) and High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM).

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply a complete understanding of mechanical design concepts and effectively communicate design tradeoffs.
• Incorporate scalable electromechanical architectures
• Deliver precision signal integrity for complex docking systems
• Ensure high reliability in diverse thermal environments
• Balance performance, manufacturability, cost, and time to market
• Support advanced semiconductor testing requirements

 Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• English proficiency, written and verbal.

5+ years of experience in:

• Core mechanical engineering principles.
• SolidWorks CAD, SolidWorks Simulation, and product data management tools (PDM Works, Teamcenter).
• GD&T standards and tolerance analysis
• Ansys FEA

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Familiarity with SEMI standards is preferred
• Experience with printed circuit board development.
