Opportunity Overview

Teradyne is seeking a skilled Solutions Software Engineer to design and develop software solutions for Eagle Test Systems (ETS) platforms, enabling high performance semiconductor testing. This role focuses on creating reusable libraries, utilities, and workflows that improve test program efficiency and throughput on ETS 88 and ETS 800 systems. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills with experience in test automation and ATE environments.

 

As a Solutions Software Engineering, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design and implement ETS‑specific software components and libraries to support advanced test strategies.
  • Develop tools in C++/C# for calibration, diagnostics, and resource management on ETS platforms.
  • Optimize multi‑site execution and parallel test flows to maximize throughput.
  • Integrate solutions with ETS system software, ensuring compatibility with instrument drivers and timing engines.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines for ETS software, including automated builds and regression testing.
  • Troubleshoot ETS software/hardware interactions (timing, alarms, PCIe drivers, resource contention).
  • Document ETS Productivity Tools architecture, APIs, and best practices for internal and customer use.
  • Collaborate with hardware and test engineers and engage with key customer accounts to refine usability and performance.

 Minimum Job Requirements: 

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering OR related field.
  • English proficiency.

 

5+ years of experience in

  • Visual Studio.
  • Programming skills in C++ and C# with experience in object-oriented programming.
  • Unit testing to ensure software reliability and maintainability
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes for efficient software deployment and updates.
  • Hardware and embedded systems in a test development environment.

 

 Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience with ETS‑88/ETS‑800 and associated instruments (HSD, AWG, SMU).
  • Previous experience working with semiconductor test equipment.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Expertise in Teradyne’s ETS 88/ETS 800 software for semiconductor test development.
