Opportunity Overview

The Solutions Software Engineering team in Costa Rica is looking for a Level 3 Software Engineer with a passion for learning, developing high quality business solutions, solving complex problems, and becoming part of a smart and innovative team. In this role, you will work closely with Project Management, Finance, and management teams, as well as data engineers, to design and deliver business-critical reporting and automation solutions. Your focus will be on web development (React), Power Platform, Azure, and Snowflake, leveraging automation, and AI to deliver insights and efficiency across the organization.

This role has some hybrid flexibility; however, the candidate must be able to work most of the time on-site at the Costa Rica office.

The Solutions Software Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy robust business solutions and reporting platforms by leveraging web technologies (React), Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Azure ecosystem (Data Factory, Azure Functions, Logic Apps), and Snowflake for data warehousing and transformation.
• Create scalable, high-performance, and maintainable solutions that integrate with existing ETL pipelines and data sources, working closely with the Data Engineering team.
• Automate business processes and workflows using Power Platform, Office 365, Azure Logic Apps, and ETLs, driving process improvements and greater organizational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools, incorporating data from ETL (Azure services and Snowflake), to deliver actionable business insights for PM, Finance, and management teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate requirements into innovative technical solutions.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities (such as Microsoft Cortex or other enterprise AI tools) to enhance reporting, automation, and data insights.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to improve products, processes, and team collaboration.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and promote best practices in software development and solution architecture.
• Document solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Minimum Job Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, OR related field.
• English proficiency.

5+ years of experience in:

• Software Engineering with a focus on solution design and implementation.
• Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and Office 365 integration.
• Azure services (Data Factory, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, etc.)
• Reporting tools (DAX, Power Query, Power BI, data modeling, dashboard/report design).

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, data transformation, and analytics.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following behavioral traits:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, including mentoring, code reviews, and driving best practices.
