OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

The Electronics Supply Line Engineer (SLE) is a key technical contributor within the Supply Base Management (SBM) Engineering organization. This role is responsible for the technical due diligence of electronic components and suppliers, ensuring alignment between design requirements, manufacturability, quality, cost, and longterm supply continuity across Teradyne products and platforms.

This job opportunity has a hybrid work model.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead technical due diligence for electronic component selection, qualification, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with global design teams to support component selection for new designs and platform reuse.
  • Support contract manufacturers by providing technical guidance on approved parts, suppliers, and alternates.
  • Drive obsolescence management, component change impact analysis, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Partner with suppliers to improve quality, cost, manufacturability, and longterm supply resilience.
  • Ensure accurate and uptodate component data within Teradyne PLM systems.

Minimum job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering Or related field.
  • English Proficiency
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in:
      • Supply line engineering, component engineering, supplier engineering, or related roles within the electronics industry.
      • Sourcing and supporting electronic components.
      • Read and interpret electronic schematics and datasheets.
      • Obsolescence and PCN management.
      • PLM systems.

 

Preferred Job requirements:

  • Supplier quality management experience.
  • Knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing.
