Engineering Manager

Duties a & Responsibilities

Lead Design Team

•    Work with DIS global design and operation director and counterpart in China, Italy and Taiwan design centers, regional project leads, regional managers, business development and marketing and factory to develop implementation plan
•    Lead the team to develop ATE HW interface solutions for WW customers, include PCB and MLO design, simulation, design for manufacturability, DIB diagnostics program development, etc.
•    Intensive communication and collaboration with other design center managers, regional project leads, regional managers, AE managers and factory are required.

Project and Process Management

•    Use standard design process and methodology to run HW design projects and ensure high quality and customer satisfaction
•    In charge for overall project management and supervision to ensure on time delivery and customer satisfaction
•    Continually improving team’s development efficiency and quality through new development methodology/tools, processes, and enhanced skills

People leadership

•    Recruit engineers and technicians from campus and industry
•    Provide leadership guidance to team members in technical and administrative areas
•    Assign projects and other work assignments to match capabilities & expertise
•    Plan and manage work funnel to match capacity
•    Work with team members to create and implement development plans to enhance employee skill and job satisfaction
•    Conduct annual performance appraisals and continually provide performance feedback Management of intern students and temporary workers

Leadership and strong desire and concern to lead and motivate others, set goals, communicate vision and direction, and create a shared understanding.

• Build, organize, and lead both functional and project teams
• Lead project teams through the entire development lifecycle
• Drive organizational and team improvements from concept phase to implementation
• Communicate plans, status, and challenges to all stakeholders including senior management

Basic Qualifications, Education & Skills

Must

•    Business or Engineering Degree
•    Strong project management experience
•    Strong mindset and experience in process discipline and high quality
•    Desire to work in a fast paced, "blurred" environment between multiple time zones and odd hours as required
•    Fluent in English communication in cross culture environment
•    Position requires at least 10% travel internationally and locally

Desired 

•    Semiconductor ATE domain experience (testers, instruments, applications)
•    PCB design, fab & assembly manufacturing experience
•    5+ years’ experience in managing application/engineering operations
