Organization & Role :

The Teradyne IT BMO is looking for an experienced Software QA Automation Engineer. As a key contributor to our QA team, your experience and skill set will play a key role in our efforts to design, develop, and execute automated tests. You should have a strong technical background and be able to streamline all testing activities. You should be detail-oriented and possess excellent automation skills and troubleshooting abilities. 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and execute manual and automated tests using appropriate tools, implementation artifacts, and requirements 

• Create and expand an automation framework  

• Develop and support high-quality test automation code. Conduct automation code reviews. Perform troubleshooting of automation software issues 

• Develop testing strategies for product releases and participate in internal and cross functional design reviews 

• Identify areas where automation can improve quality; evaluate and select the relevant tools 

• Work on optimizing code quality and improving reliability indicators in the development process 

• Analyze, review, and summarize test results. Report anomalies into defect tracking system. Suggest solutions to identified product problems 

• Manage multiple tasks and align those tasks with the company's business priorities 

• Participate in process improvements; support other members of the QA team.

Requirements: 

• Good understanding of automation systems and databases. Hands-on experience with various development tools 

• Working knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript, Java, Python, and HTML 

• Expertise in automation testing tools like Playwright, TestNJ, Selenium, etc. 

• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman 

• Practical knowledge related to Performance testing and tools like JMeter 

• Familiarity with MS 365, Jira, Zephyr, and other test and bug management systems 

• Understanding of and good experience with Jenkins or a similar automation server 

• Experience with database testing; knowledge of SQL query language  

Qualifications: 

• Have 7+ years of experience in testing complex software systems and a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or another related field 

• Have 2+ years of experience in object-oriented programming 

• Hands-on experience in front-end and back-end application testing  

• A proven ability to design and implement a comprehensive testing strategy for complex software products 

• The ability to think strategically and build a workflow in accordance with such a vision 

• Possess impressive analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills 

• Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of quality assurance, testing process, methodologies, structure, and documentation 

• Have excellent communication skills that enable effective interaction with other members of the team and cross-functional teams. Ability to work collaboratively 

• Good time management and organizational skills. Clear understanding of the importance of deadlines .
