Opportunity Overview: 
 
 
The Logistics Supervisor is a key leader responsible for driving operational excellence in warehouse and material handling activities. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management to ensure efficient inventory control, optimized space utilization, and compliance with safety standards. The successful candidate will lead and develop a high-performing team, foster collaboration across departments, and implement innovative solutions to improve workflow and reduce costs.
 
 
 
  • Team Leadership & Supervision:
    • Direct, supervise, and review the work of Material Handlers and other warehouse personnel.
    • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and operational activities to meet productivity targets.
    • Select, train, motivate, and evaluate team members to ensure high performance.

 

  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inspections of facilities and equipment.
    • Monitor material usage, utilities, and overall warehouse productivity.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and maintenance standards.

 

  • Process Improvement & Space Optimization:
    • Design and implement facility layouts to maximize storage efficiency.
    • Identify and resolve operational issues promptly.
    • Research and apply new trends and innovations in warehousing and storage solutions.

 

  • Inventory & Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory usage and warehouse activities.
    • Prepare reports, documentation, and business reviews for management.
    • Assist in budget preparation and cost control initiatives.

 

  • Coordination & Communication:
    • Collaborate with other departments and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
    • Coordinate fleet and equipment maintenance schedules.
    • Participate in developing and implementing organizational goals, objectives, and procedures.

 

All About You:

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements: 

 
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

 

Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Logistics Coordinator, or similar leadership role in warehouse operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and oversee day-to-day logistics activities.

 

Technical Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and data entry tools.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.

 

Core Competencies:
  • Excellent leadership, team-building, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills to handle operational challenges efficiently.
