Material Planner/Purchasing Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supervising the activities of Planning and Purchasing for ATE manufacturing and closely coordinate with functional groups (Division, Operations, Marketing and Engineering).
•  Establishes operating policies & procedures to optimize planning capacity & inventory management activities.
•  Optimizes overall cost of materials & implement cost reduction measures.
•  Ensures 100% compliance to inventory targets. 
•  Fosters open communication with the different people in the TER organization to meet company objectives.
•  Sets goals, establishes priorities, manages resources, develops concepts & approaches, reviews projects & results, make management decisions.
•  Provides supervision & direction to the team on issues & procedures.
•  Motivates staff & ensures that they develop proper ethical standards to support the company's vision & mission.
•  Conducts weekly staff meetings to share updates, issues and concerns.
•  Performs performance evaluation and provide on time feedback.
•  Responsible in maintaining on time delivery attainment to customers.

Basic Qualifications/Skills Required:

•  Bachelor of Science in Industrial Eng'g graduate or equivalent with at least 4-5 years of Planning 

 experience.

•  Other degree holders with Planning experience are welcome to apply.
•  Experience in a Manufacturing setup for ATE testers is an advantage.
•  Must have the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
•  Possesses strong leadership, and commitment & is flexible in dealing with employees.
•  Has good communication skills & can relate well with people.
•  Must be objective and mature enough to handle conflicts.
•  Possesses coaching skills.
•  Has been with Teradyne for at least 3 years for internal applicants.
