Opportunity Overview

The Teradyne Operations team is looking for a highly motivated and driven Production/Material Planner to focus on material plans that caters to our customers with on time delivery. The Planner must be an excellent problem solver to support customer requests and project plans while working to reduce lead-time and cost.  He/She must ensure that plans are met while working to minimize excess and obsolescence. Must be a strong communicator to describe a material plan that supports the customer and describe the costs and risks to do so to Management.

Role Functions:

• Responsible in managing the overall flow of service materials worldwide to cater Teradyne Customers.
• Ensure stocks are in the right local stocking centers & on time delivery goals are met
• Analyze the service materials requirements, execute necessary purchases including Last Time Buys
• Perform Demand Forecasting and Product Service Support Analysis
• Repair Scheduling & Capacity Alignment with Repair Operations.
• Provide Root Cause Corrective Action report on late shipments.
• Address customer inquiries/issues through Customer Service Teams, provide on time update & escalate timely, if necessary
• Works closely with PROGs & other worlwide CSO & Non-CSO Cross Functional Teams (Field Service,Engg,PSG,Logistics,PartsO etc) on related matters
• Drives continuous improvement initiatives

Role Requirements (Must-Have Skills)

• Preferably a Graduate of BS Industrial Engg, BS Statistics or its equivalent
• 1-2 Years Planning Experience
• Proficient in MS Applications and can performan analysis work in MS Excel
• With high sense of urgency & can interface with the different level of positions in the organization worldwide.
• Excellent communication & teamwork skills.
• Willing to work on flexible schedules as the need arises.
