Production/Material Planner

The Teradyne Operations team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic,  driven Planner to focus on material plans that support our customers with on time delivery. The Planner must be a driven problem solver to support customer requests, and project plans while working to reduce lead-time and cost.  The planner must ensure that plans are met while working to minimize excess and obsolescence. The planner must be a strong communicator to describe a material plan that supports the customer and describe the costs and risks to do so to Senior Management.

Responsibilities

• The production/material planner is responsible for MRP result analysis, understand weekly MRP planned buy message, release PO in timely manner;
• The production/material planner will be in charge of PO release, PO management, expediting, de-expediting and Cancellation per weekly MPR result;
• Be on top of any critical shortages, follow escalation process to address issues to Commodity management team for speedy recover plan;
• Monitor supplier on time delivery;
• Be on top of any PO related issues as PPV, shipping& receiving, accounts payable problems and process RMA in case run into any Supplier quality issues;
• Be in charge of ECNs, communicate ECN changes with Supplier, evaluation material impact, and monitor the future cut in of ECNs;
• Any other tasks assigned by manager to support HVM planning teams across Asia base;

Basic Qualifications & Skills

• BA/BS preferred.
• Related material planner experience, Strong understanding of MRP logic, related purchasing skills PO release, PO management, Supplier management;
• Experience on dealing with ECNs of complex product is a plus;
• Focus on details, focus on result;
• Be flexible, teamwork;
•  Must speak, read and write in English.
