Traffic Analyst

 

 

The Global Traffic Analyst achieves tactical global logistics objectives and supports strategic long-term goals in regards to global transportation operations. He/she tracks and measures all transportation Service Level Activities (SLA) related to TER worldwide/customer/vendor distributions. Works under the supervision of Transportation manager. He/she ensures on-time delivery to customers and LSCs based on orders to achieve full customer satisfaction.

 

 

Duties / Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

 

  • Help optimize CSO global transportation network in terms of costs, transportation mode, transit lead times, and service quality of different logistics service providers through Data Analysis, Value Analysis, and negotiations with forwarders.
  • Updates the Annual Global Freight Spend Forecasts every month based on current volume and market trends (e.g., fuel price changes, covid situation, etc.) and makes sure the actual costs are within the target budget.
  • Facilitates freight expense rebill, accrual and financial analysis for freight every quarter-end and allocates actual costs to various Business Units.
  • Maintains and updates the Global Freight Lead Metric/KPI Dashboard.
  • Provides data-supported cost and benefit analyses using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power Query, Power BI, MS Access, SQL) on various projects and initiatives while giving comprehensive recommendations to management.
  • Resolve billing and invoicing issues and communicate such to the internal finance team, service providers, and our third-party auditors
  • Identify alternatives to promote operational efficiencies, cost reductions and improvements in Transportation
  • Support the team in liaising with service providers in addressing operational issues in transportation.
  • Provides proposal support, makes recommendations and assists with implementing solutions and programs

 

 

 

 

Education / Training / Tasks / Skills / Experience Required:

 

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in the area or field of Transportation and Warehousing
  • Knowledgeable in global logistics operations, Importation/Exportation processes and trade compliance
  • With attention to details and excellent analytical skills
  • Applies standard logistics principles, theories, concepts, techniques, and practices to solve a variety of transportation related issues/problems
  • Process-oriented thinker - Always looking for continuous improvement solutions.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time well on tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism
  • Knowledge/Experience of process automation is a plus
