Opportunity Overview
- Support and oversee manufacturing activities at Teradyne's contract manufacturing partners in Penang.
- Collaborate with the Supply Line Management (SLM) organization to qualify new suppliers, processes, and products.
- Work closely with NPI teams to ensure a seamless transition from product development to high-volume manufacturing.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, communicate effectively, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Drive and enforce strict process controls across all manufacturing operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible manufacturing processes, parameters, and control plans.
- Lead the selection, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes for assigned product lines.
- Apply knowledge of DFM principles, tools, and reporting methodologies to improve product manufacturability.
- Review weekly yield and quality reports, drive RCCA investigations, and ensure timely closure with Contract Manufacturer (CM) Quality teams.
- Create, review, and manage ECOs, Deviation Requests, MCOs, and RCOs.

- Bachelor's degree with 10-15 years of experience, or Master's degree with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a PCBA manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with IPC standards and certifications.
- Knowledge of PTH, SMT, and RoHS manufacturing processes.
- Familiar with aqueous cleaning processes and flux chemistries.
- Strong knowledge of soldering processes and process optimization.
- Understanding of flux chemistry interactions, no-clean processes, intermetallic bonds, and ion chromatography.
- Experience with reflow profiling and thermal margin analysis.
- Experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective actions.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment such as pick-and-place machines, mini-wave soldering systems, and inline cleaners.
- Willing to travel as required.
