Opportunity Overview

 

  • Base in Penang, Malaysia.
  • Work closely with the New Product Introduction (NPI) teams on the seamless transition from NPI stage to High Volume Manufacturing.
  • Provide technical support to the Contract Manufacturer for executing the assembly processes, ECN implementation, troubleshooting production issues to meet Teradyne defined standards of quality and on-time delivery, materials form-fit qualification, and evaluation.
  • Work closely with NPI Process Engineering team on design verification, DFM, identify critical manufacturing and quality issues and driving the CM partner for closure.
  • As Teradyne's first point of contacts, escalation for process/assembly related issue and provide deviation authorization as where appropriate.
  • Working with CM partner to ensure manufacturing process compliance, drive operation improvement and PCBA process optimization.
  • Interface with suppliers, design engineering, product engineering, to drive and achieve performance goals.
  • Supporting various production sites.

  • A technical degree (ie Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science) with at least 6 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge in SMT/PCBA processes and control such as reflow profiling and thermal margins, chemicals, equipment, tooling fabrication and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-610 and ISO 9001.
  • Knowledge in process related Standards, PCBA failure analysis and rework experience, latest SMT technology is an added advantage.
  • Must be able to interface and effectively communicate with technology and engineering departments to resolve manufacturing issues and process improvement.
  • Good operational, leadership and interpersonal skills with excellence drive and enthusiasm.
  • Analytical, team player, mature thinking, organized and high sense of urgency.
  • Flexible to work at multiple time zones and travel for training or audit.
