Responsibilities

 

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful management of cost, schedule and scope of projects or subsystems of major programs. The successful candidate must be able to manage change, escalate issues, and take a leadership role in getting decisions made in a timely manner. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Facilitating the creation of project schedules.
  • Identify and coordinate internal and external resources to execute the plan.
  • Integrate various engineering, marketing, applications, and support groups in the initiating, planning and execution (including mid-course corrections as necessary) of projects.
  • Monitor and close projects to achieve project objectives.
  • Use industry standard techniques and tools to measure progress against product and project objectives.
  • Drive proactive corrective action where required.
  • Manage scope change control activities, and communicate periodic project assessment to sponsors.
  • Manage Risk Management Process, including driving identification, mitigation and contingency planning through the project life cycle.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

 

  • Engineering and/or Program Management background with experience in product development in the high technology industry.
  • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Experience managing team elements in multiple geographic locations
  • Association with PMI and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills including ability to communicate and foster communication between project groups.


Education

 

  • Fluent in English
  • BS degree in engineering.  Electrical, Computer, or Software preferred.  
  • 3+ years engineering experience
  • 3+ years project management experience
