Opportunity Overview:

As a Solutions Software Engineer within our Test Development Infrastructure team, you will design and deliver reusable test-program software that can be deployed at key customer accounts. You will work across software, test, and hardware stakeholders to translate real-world production needs into robust libraries, automation, and tooling—improving development velocity, quality, and maintainability of semiconductor test solutions.

Why Join Teradyne?

This Solutions Software Engineer role is an opportunity to contribute to a highly visible initiative that helps scale how Teradyne delivers test-program solutions to key customers. By building reusable libraries, automation, and robust engineering practices, you will directly improve product quality and time-to-deployment while partnering with a collaborative, high-performing team. If you’re looking for a technically challenging environment where you can grow your impact and help shape the future of semiconductor test, we encourage you to apply.

  • Design and evolve a reusable, generic test-program library for deployment at key customer accounts.
  • Develop production-quality software (primarily C# in Visual Studio; C++ as needed) to improve test automation, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Build and maintain unit tests and validation frameworks to ensure reliability and long-term maintainability.
  • Collaborate with test, product, and hardware teams to align software capabilities with tester/device requirements.
  • Develop and optimize Teradyne IG-XL test-program components where applicable, focusing on performance and usability.
  • Support CI/CD and automated build/release processes; troubleshoot complex issues across software and test flows and document designs/procedures.

All About You
