Opportunity Overview
Our Product Integration and Verification Group is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Hardware Verification Engineer with a strong background in DC and Power Electronics, test development, and product verification for our Precision, Power and Analog (PPA) Instrumentation products team located in our Deer Park, Illinois engineering development center. In this role you will be responsible for developing test concepts, custom test hardware and software to verify both the functionality and the performance of our newest leading-edge products in the High Power, precision analog and DC technology space. You will integrate across all development functions to create and execute an efficient and effective product integration and verification plan, and with the product team, bring our new products to the market.
Responsibilities
- Development of precision power and analog focused automated test concepts and methodologies which will support the accuracies and measurement capabilities needed to verify the functionality and performance of our new instrumentation products.
- Development of custom PCBAs and/or other test hardware as needed to support product verification.
- Develop, debug, verification and the release of product verification and production tests and software.
- Support the transfer of our new products into production.

- BSEE, BSCE, MSEE, or MSCE
- 10+ years of experience in hardware, embedded systems, test development, product verification, or instrumentation engineering. Experience with power electronics, industrial controls, embedded firmware, automated test systems, or precision measurement products is preferred.
- Strong background in object-orientated programming, C/C++/C# is preferred.
- Experience developing automated verification, diagnostic, manufacturing test, or production test solutions. Familiarity with Teradyne ETS-800 platform is a plus
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally, able to work with team on shared objectives and work quickly and collaboratively to solve problems and overcome challenges.
- Strong communication skills, ability to communicate at different levels of abstraction and provide periodic updates to product and project managers.
- Experience with manufacturing release and customer support is a plus.
