Opportunity Overview
As a Senior Hardware Engineer on Teradyne’s Precision, Power and Analog (PPA) team, you will be a senior technical contributor responsible for the development of high‑performance analog and power instrumentation used in advanced semiconductor ATE platforms. This role spans the full product lifecycle and involves close collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Lead end‑to‑end hardware design activities, from concept and analysis through verification and release to manufacturing
- Design high‑precision analog, mixed‑signal, and power circuits for high‑voltage ATE instrumentation products
- Drive technical trade‑offs across performance, cost, reliability, and system‑level constraints
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including software, FPGA, mechanical, QA, manufacturing, and NPI
- Apply disciplined design practices involving simulation, prototyping, calibration, and verification
- Contribute to design reviews and communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering peers and senior leadership
Experience with as many of the following areas is a plus:
- New product development involving complex hardware designs and multi‑layer PCBs, from concept through production
- Precision analog and power design experience, including SMUs, low‑noise amplifiers, analog filters, and low‑leakage/low‑offset circuits
- Power, signal, and control system expertise, including switching and linear supplies, control loop stability, signal integrity, and power integrity
- Experience with hardware error budgeting, statistical analysis techniques, and calibration strategies to achieve high accuracy and reliability

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- 12+ years of industry experience delivering complex hardware products from concept to high‑volume production
- Strong expertise in precision analog, power, and mixed‑signal circuit design
- Working knowledge of high‑voltage design practices, including isolation, creepage/clearance, and regulatory considerations
- Experience communicating design trade‑offs and technical decisions within cross‑functional development teams
- Ability to work independently on complex designs while contributing to broader team objectives and product goals

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $141,400 - 280,600. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
