Opportunity Overview

As the Customer-Centric AI Product Manager, you will be the voice of the user, driving Teradyne’s software and AI strategy to solve the most pressing challenges for our semiconductor customers. You will bridge the gap between cutting-edge artificial intelligence and everyday user workflows, ensuring our technology delivers tangible, intuitive value. 

This role sits at the intersection of user empathy and technical innovation. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams—marketing, engineering, sales, and operations—while embedding yourself in the daily realities of our customers (from small innovators to large international semiconductor enterprises). By understanding their unique needs across AI Data Center, Automotive, Industrial, Complex Power Management, and Discrete markets, you will design AI solutions to dramatically improve the speed and efficiency of our customers’ new product development. 

• Customer-Driven AI Roadmap: Define and lead an AI and software product roadmap rooted in deep customer discovery. Translate the complex testing bottlenecks of semiconductor manufacturers into intelligent, automated AI solutions. 

• User-Centric Product Lifecycle: Champion the end-to-end customer journey. Manage product lifecycles, ecosystem integrations, and 3rd party relationships with a relentless focus on improving user experience (UX) and delivering frictionless workflows. 

• Needs-Based Feature Development: Conduct ongoing user research to develop business requirements and proposals for new MST software products, ensuring every new feature directly addresses a validated customer pain point. 

• Value Communication & Enablement: Craft compelling, customer-focused value propositions. Equip sales and field engineers with collateral and training that clearly communicates the real-world impact and ROI of our AI features. 

• Impact-Weighted Prioritization: Ruthlessly prioritize software feature requests and the R&D funnel based on customer impact, user feedback, and product adoption metrics. 

• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner seamlessly with engineering, UX/UI, and marketing to build intuitive AI solutions that align customer success with Teradyne’s broader business objectives. 

• Frictionless Adoption: Design intuitive onboarding experiences and manage smooth customer migrations to new software releases, ensuring users immediately recognize the value of new AI capabilities. 

• Customer Advocacy & Community: Cultivate a thriving community of power users. Establish continuous feedback loops, share software best practices, create industry buzz, and build fierce customer loyalty. 

• Strategic Partner in Design-In: Act as a hands-on strategic advisor for key customers during design-in activities, tailoring significant AI software enhancements to seamlessly integrate into their unique operational environments.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with strong SW engineering background as either a SW engineer or applications engineer 
• Minimum of 10 years in the Semiconductor Industry with experience as a SW product manager at an ATE, EDA Design Company, or at a supplier to the IC industry
• This position requires a person with very strong leadership, analytical, synthesis and integration skills. This role will require an extensive amount of integrating and visibility across all functions of the business and at all levels
• Travel of 20 – 30% to be expected

We are only considering candidates local to the position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $155,000–$248,100. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
