Organization & Role

 

The Teradyne Military Aerospace Defense Sales team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, driven Sales professional who will help achieve bookings targets for product and services and increase our market share.

 

Location: Orlando, FL.  Role is remote from home and onsite visits to customers. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for tasks associated with Sales or Marketing process assigned by manager or mentor/coach.
  • Assist in selling and positioning Teradyne products and services to DoD customers and their associated business partners as a member of the NAVAIR – Lockheed Martin team.
  • Manage support activities associated with the assigned accounts.
  • Participate in executing and managing competitive sales process as a team member.
  • Communicate and integrate with Teradyne Program Management, Marketing, Engineering, and Support to effectively execute the sales account strategy.
  • Prospect & qualify new business opportunities for existing and newly developed products.
  • Identify & qualify customer needs and requirements.
  • Supply technical data and business-related information to existing and prospective customers.
  • Provide sales quotations for products and services.
  • Coordinate and host customers meetings at Teradyne sites and customers sites.
  • Participate in the Business Development Teams to identify/address customer needs and business objectives.
  • Participate in booking and negotiating contracts (purchase orders).
  • Support key marketing/sales activities including trade shows, conferences, and other DoD events.
  • Primary responsibility in Orlando, FL area.  Some domestic travel required (25-50%)

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience working within the DoD environments is desireable. 
  • Ability to work well in teams.
  • Organized Self-directed, confident, and able to work on projects and assignments with minimal supervision upon receiving proper instructions.
  • Capable of understanding and implementing corporate processes.
  • Ability to develop and maintain internal corporate relationships.
  • Ability to establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Experience with Defining and overcoming obstacles or escalating to management in order to meet project deadlines.
  • DOD clearance is desirable.

Education

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electonic Engineering, Engineering Science, or related discipline OR equivalent work experience.
