Automation Expert (Field Application Specialist)

Teradyne, a global leader in industrial automation and robotics solutions, is seeking skilled Robotics Automation Expert to join our dynamic team. As a Robotics Automation Field Application Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge robot solutions based on Universal Robots' cobot arms and Mobile Industrial Robots' (MiR) Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) to our key customers in the semiconductor industry. Together, deliver manufacturing automation consultant across industries and applications around the world!

Responsibilities

• Conduct proof-of-concept work to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of robot solutions.
• Develop standard UR and MiR solutions as well as innovative Mobile Cobot solutions combining both technologies.
• Provide expert advice to customers, FAE’s and support staff while working closely with sales/marketing management to ensure that relevant technical information is promptly and accurately informed.
• Mastering of mobile cobot products, and product application.
• Develop, present, and respond to proposals for specific customer requirements.
• Works closely with customers to define projects, identify new opportunities and support existing sustainment activities.
• Providing detailed communication regarding the application, sizing and competitive position of products.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

• 15+ years of semiconductor industry experience
• Automation experience on Cobot arms, Automated Guided Vehicle(AGV), Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), and related Automated Stocker, E-rack, SLAM Vision etc. factory solution.
• Preferred experience in deploying Universal Robots (UR) and/or Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR), or similar cobot arms and AMRs.
• Knowledge in ERP/MES, AMHS
• Good understand of semiconductor manufacturing process flow, and equipment from different vendors with focus functions.
• General understanding of smart manufacturing in the semiconductor industry in automation
• Strong problem-solving and Excellent judgment
• Outstanding written and verbal communication
• Ability to work with customer and international teams
• Willingness for international travel up to 25%
