Field Product Specialist (PTG, Hsinchu Taiwan)

Opportunity Overview

The Field Product Specialist works closely with the sales team, engaging with customer, understanding customer's technical requirement, formulate test strategy with internal application and engineering team and propose test solutions to customers. The ability to communicate with both customer and internal team is of key importance.

• Technical Expertise & Pre-Sales Support:
• Serve as the go-to expert for PTG’s In-Circuit Test products.
• Provide expert advice to customers, sales teams, and field application engineers.
• Feedback customer requirement to engineering team for creating test solutions. 
• Help customers identify challenges and suggest effective solutions.
• Develop strategic relationships with customers, focusing on technical and operational decision-makers.
• Work directly with customers to define projects and identify new opportunities for PTG’s technology.
• Provide in-depth communication on product applications, sizing, and competitive positioning.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver compelling product demonstrations for prospective and existing customers.
• Support technical on-site evaluations and help resolve customer inquiries.
• Stay informed about competitors, industry trends, and new requirements in the board level testing.
• Provide feedback to internal engineering and product management teams regarding market needs and competitive landscapes.
• Work with the sales team to develop and respond to proposals for specific customer requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
• Familiar with SMT PCBA manufacturing processes.
• Strong technical knowledge of in-circuit testing, boundary scan test techniques, and in system programming.
• Familiar with computer / server products and the test requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as a Field Application Engineer or technical pre-sales specialist, is highly desirable.
