Opportunity Overview
Teradyne’s Global Human Resources team plays a pivotal role in shaping a dynamic people strategy that preserves the core values that define Teradyne, while continuously evolving to meet the future demands of our workforce.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated HR Director – Taiwan, based in Hsinchu and reporting to the Regional HR Director - APAC. In this role, you will be responsible for outstanding service and engagement excellence delivering and maintaining HR programs to employees in Taiwan, with a focus on efficiency, data, and technology for all Teradyne business groups and subsidiaries (LitePoint, Robotics group). This position has 3 direct reports located in Hsinchu.
This position within the Regional HR team is part of a team of global HR professionals, which include the Center of Excellences (COEs) - Talent Management, Global Compensation, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and HR operations teams.
The HR Director – Taiwan, is responsible for strategizing, directing and executing HR activities that align with business needs, ensuring effective talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations and investigations, compensation & benefits, and employee development, including:

Collaborating with business stakeholders to foster employee engagement and improve employee experience.

Directing and participating in employee relations activities, promoting a respectful, collaborative culture and a diverse, inclusive work environment.

Gathering and analyzing HR metrics to provide data-driven recommendations and support strategic outcomes.

Managing and maintaining accurate, well-ordered documentation of workplace events.

Driving successful talent acquisition strategy, execution and delivery across all business groups.

Supporting all HR related questions from employees and managers.

Ensuring successful rollout of company benefits and changes – compensation, statutory and company benefits.

Coaching & providing support on performance management and development initiatives.

Working closely with HR operations team to ensure successful execution of HR transactional processes with a focus on standardization, quality, and efficiency.

Developing strong working relationship with service collaborators and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery to employees and managers – Local Managers, Global Business Leaders, COEs, HRBPs, HR Operations, Payroll, Finance and HR service vendors.

Negotiating service agreements with HR service vendors to ensure strong service offerings.

Coaching and developing local managers and the Taiwan regional HR team, collaborating with HR team, and other cross-functional business partners and providing career pathways within the HR function.

Participating in regional and global HR meetings and projects.

Any other ad-hoc responsibilities/projects assigned.

- Bachelor’s in human resources or relevant field

20+ years HR generalist experience with 5+ years in HR management position, in high-tech industry

Well versed and up to date with local employment related laws and regulations

Experienced working in a fast-paced environment and delivering within tight turn-around times

Ability to navigate ambiguity and quickly shift direction when priorities change.

Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices

Outstanding knowledge of HRIS systems (SAP SuccessFactors) will be a plus

Expert knowledge of data reporting tools, e.g. Excel, Power BI

Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build strong relationships and become a trusted partner to relevant stakeholders.

Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

Track record of successfully juggling multiple projects and priorities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Mandarin and English)
