Job Description: TEST TECHNICIAN
Assignment: IST Taiwan Satellite Repair and Upgrade (75%) and Field Support (25%)
Responsibilities
• Execute structured repair steps for assemblies, including repetitive testing, and troubleshooting.
• Perform troubleshooting following the defined procedures and automated test programs.
• Inspect, analyze, and resolve issues in test systems and equipment to maintain optimal yield and performance.
• Travel to the customer site and support on-site repair and testing of PCB modules and automation components to ensure reliable functionality.
• Support the field team's preventive maintenance activities on systems and instruments to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Carry out visual inspections to verify compliance with assembly standards and ensure product integrity.
• Manage product receiving and shipping procedures with accurate documentation and handling protocols.
• Work closely with Test and Service Engineers to address reliability concerns, enhance quality, and support departmental goals.
• Perform repair process quality standard and follow the EHS procedure
• Support process and reliability improvement projects and initiatives
Basic Qualifications and Skills
• Vocational Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Industrial Technology (major in Electronics), or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in electronics repair and troubleshooting, including handling Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)-sensitive components.
• Skilled in mechanical assembly, wire harnessing, and soldering techniques.
• Prior work experience in electrical assembly or semiconductor manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Proficient in operating computers and navigating internet-based programs.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio) with the ability to generate, interpret, and present technical data.
• Able to speak, read, and write effectively in English to support documentation, reporting, and team collaboration.
