Opportunity Overview:

 

Teradyne is seeking an Accountant to support multiple business units within the Semiconductor Test Division. This role is ideal for an early‑career accounting professional who is eager to build a strong foundation in divisional level accounting within a global manufacturing and engineering environment. This role will play a key role in monthly and quarterly close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and process improvement initiatives, while partnering closely with FP&A and business stakeholders.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes for multiple business units globally
  • Prepare and post manual journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, reclasses, allocations and other adjustments
  • Support general ledger transactions and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
  • Analysis and adjustments of Cost of Goods Sold based on quarterly shipments and revenue recognition criteria
  • Partner with Financial Shared Services to review balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis for completeness and accuracy. Prepare adjustments and explanations as needed.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counting and transactional management
  • Assist with US GAAP compliance, including proper accounting treatment and documentation
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting, Division Finance, Operations, and Engineering teams to support activities and business initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation, particularly within close and reconciliation activities
  • Support quarterly internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to information requests
  • Maintain strong documentation for accounting processes, policies, and controls
  • Adhoc support of Senior level FP&A Analysts and Division Controller
  • This position is on-site at Teradyne Headquarters - North Reading, MA

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting, manufacturing, or corporate accounting preferred)
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP fundamentals and Sarbanes Oxley requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Experience with Co-Pilot AI and/or You.com AI, a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Preferred familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar)
  • Interest or early experience with process automation,  AI, data analytics, and continuous improvement

 

Compensation:

 

The base salary range for this role is $50,000-79,900. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.  

 

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
