Opportunity Overview
We are seeking an applications engineer to join our Total Test Solutions team. We design and develop custom automated test solutions for critical, cutting-edge Defense and Aerospace technology. Our engineers are responsible for the full solution, guiding hardware design, developing custom software, and integrating the completed parts.
In this role you will:

Develop strategy to turn complex customer requirements into complete automated test solutions, including custom fixturing, cabling, and software

Present the planned strategy to internal and external stakeholders in standard design reviews, including System Requirement Review, Preliminary Design Review, and Critical Design Review

Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to guide design efforts and ensure designs support the planned strategy

Develop custom software in C# to operate automated test equipment and fixturing

Integrate new software and hardware, debug and solve system issues

Develop Operator Interfaces using test executive environments like TestStand

Provide documentation for the software you developed, including operator’s manuals and version description documents

Work with a wide range of electrical technologies including high-speed digital buses, ethernet, analog signals, power systems and more

Develop primarily with C# but have some exposure to other languages such as C, Python, and LabView

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical field

5+ years of experience in Application Engineering using Automated Test Equipment, Test Development Engineering, or other relevant experience

Strong programming skills with C# or other object-oriented languages

Experience with Visual Studio or other IDE and associated debug tools

Familiarity with Git or other source control tools

Ability to troubleshoot electrical hardware using multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.

Excellent technical presentation skills

Comfortable working full-time onsite, 5 days per week

Able to support occasional travel, up to 10% or greater

Prefer experience with test executive environments like TestStand and TestStudio

Prefer experience with Spectrum 9100, Spectrum HS, or similar automated test equipment
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $126,800- 202,200. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
