The Commodity Manager Co-Op position will be a key member of the Supply Base Management group with direct responsibility for managing EMS supplier relationships. This role will lead supplier-related initiatives. This role is based in North Reading, MA.

 

 

Role & Responsibilities

 

The primary mission is ensuring that the commercial relationships are established and managed to deliver a competitive advantage in cost down and supply continuity through all phases of the Teradyne’s product life cycles and business cycle.  The successful candidate will work with the internal customer base and suppliers to drive supplier’s performance in the following areas:

 

  • Technology Alignment
  • Flexibility
  • Quality / Reliability
  • Relationship with Teradyne
  • Cost / Price
  • Global Support

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Ability to perform and influence in a cross functional manner
  • Supplier Negotiations
  • Cost Reduction
  • Commodity Strategy Development
  • Contract writing, supplier qualification
  • Direct experience in Semiconductors is a plus.   

        

 

Education

 

Minimum of working toward BA/BS in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, Engineering or relevant experience.
