Opportunity Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to support new product engineering of Teradyne’s Defense & Aerospace products. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the validation of new designs and modification of existing designs by collaborating closely with Design Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with assembly processes, be proficient in interpreting assembly drawings and CAD models, and have a strong background in system, sub-assembly, and instrument assembly.
- Support the assembly and verification of new product builds during the NPI phase.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and CAD models to ensure proper build processes.
- Assist in the validation of design concepts through hands-on assembly and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with Design Engineering to provide feedback on manufacturability and suggest design improvements.
- Conduct testing and verification of assemblies to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols and compliance standards.

- Technical degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly processes.
- Experience with NPI processes and validation of new product builds.
- Familiarity with manufacturing tools, jigs, fixtures, and testing equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with PLM based control architectures and motion control is a plus.
- Solidworks experience a plus
Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $51,800 - $83,000. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
